Historical Burial Ground

The Fort Denaud Cemetery date's back to the early 1800 and is the site of over 350 Veteran Grave sites. Each year on Memorial Day The American Legion Post 130 along with many members of the local community and love one gather the day before Memorial Day to place US Flags on all the Veterans grave sites. The sight of all the Flags is impressionable, on memorial Day Post 130 along with member of the The VFW 10100 Post and The DAV Chapter 144 work together to pay their respect. The Memorial Day ceremony has speakers of the three Veterans organizations as well as local dignitaries. The American Legion Honor Guard provide a 21 Gun salute and the play of Taps.
